Areed's Victorian Vanilla Cake

Ingredients

• 1 Box Greens Supreme Vanilla Cake Mix 500g

• Melody Strawberry Jam

• 1 Satchet Safa Whip Cream 38g

• 15g Safa Vanilla Powder

• 3 Eggs

• 50g Butter

🍰 Areed’s Victorian Vanilla Cake

Step 1 – Prepare the cake batter

Preheat oven to 175°C.

In a saucepan, gently melt 50g butter.

In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with 3 eggs.

Add the Green’s Supreme Vanilla Cake Mix (500g) and mix well until smooth.

Stir in 15g Safa Vanilla Powder for an extra rich vanilla taste.

 

Step 2 – Bake the cake

Pour the batter into a greased cake tin.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until golden and a skewer comes out clean.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before decorating.

 

Step 3 – Prepare the whipped cream

In a bowl, mix 1 sachet Safa Whip Cream (38g) with cold milk (as per pack instructions).

Whisk until light, fluffy, and firm in texture.

 

Step 4 – Assemble the cake

Slice the cooled cake horizontally into two layers.

Spread a generous layer of Melody Strawberry Jam and some whipped cream across the middle.

Place the top layer of cake back on.

Use the remaining Safa Whip Cream to cover and decorate the top of the cake.

Add fresh strawberries for garnish if desired.
